2 client in creation of false market in the scrip and thereby violated Regulation 4 of the SEBI (Prohibition of Fraudulent and Unfair Trade Practices relating to Securities Market) Regulations, 1995 (hereinafter referred to as “PFUTP Regulations”). It was alleged that Mayekar Investment acted as a unregistered sub broker and acted in concert with Mahendra A Shah, Harvic Management Services Ltd., and Aroma Fashions Ltd. (AFL) and jacked up the price in the scrip. It was also alleged that Mayekar Investment failed to exercise due skill, care and diligence and thereby violated the Code of Conduct prescribed for sub brokers in Regulation 15 of the SEBI (Stock Brokers and Sub Brokers) Regulations, 1992.

3 vide letter dated April 30, 2005, replied to the said show cause notice. However no reply was filed thereafter. 5. An opportunity of personal hearing was granted to Mayekar Investment before me on September 6, 2007. However no one appeared on behalf of Mayekar Investment.
