Page 2 of 5 2. From the investigation, it prima facie appeared that Mrs. Manisha Kamal Binani (hereinafter referred to as the noticee) had entered into synchronized trades in the said scrip during the aforesaid first and second periods in NSE.

It is alleged that the noticee had entered into synchronized trades in which time, quantity and price of the orders were matched with the counter party Tropical/ CFL group viz., CFL Securities Ltd, Tropical Securities & Investment P Ltd, Harbinger Trading Co P Ltd, Globex Financial Services Ltd, Shriya Capital Services P Ltd, Smt Aditi Dalal and M/s S. Ramdas (proprietary account of Tropical) between July 01, 2001 and October 31, 2001 in BSE and NSE. These transactions were stated to be executed in Settlement no. 2001135, 2001139, 2001140 – NSE and settlement no. 0102023, 0102027, 0102029 – BSE and that the orders were placed at consistently higher price than the previous day’s closing price.

She had further submitted that in the electronic trading system of scrips nobody would know who is the counter party for a transaction and the price volume data of the scrip in the show cause notice shows that the movement in the scrip is a general phenomenon.
