Page 2 of 12 2. It was prima facie observed that the aforesaid results were published by ICL/its Managing Director to induce investors to trade in the shares of the company. In order to ascertain the veracity of such results and to find out the possible violations, if any, of the provisions of the Securities and Exchange Board of India Act, 1992 ('SEBI Act') and the Rules and Regulations framed there under by ICL/any person dealing in its shares, SEBI conducted investigation into the buying, selling and dealing in the shares of ICL for the period November 10, 2003 – January 28, 2004 ('Investigation period').
