SECURITIES AND EXCHANGE BOARD OF INDIA ORDER DIRECTIONS UNDER SECTIONS 11, 11(4)(b) AND 11B OF THE SECURITIES AND EXCHANGE BOARD OF INDIA ACT, 1992 IN THE MATTER OF PYRAMID SAIMIRA THEATRE LIMITED
1. The Securities and Exchange Board of India (hereinafter referred to as SEBI), vide Order dated April 23, 2009 (hereinafter referred to as the Order) in the matter of Pyramid Saimira Theatre Limited inter alia restrained New Wave Merchantile Company Private Limited from buying, selling or dealing in the securities market including in initial public offerings in any manner either directly or indirectly, till further directions. Similar
directions were also issued against its directors including Mr. Gopal C. Khatri. Subsequent to the Order, Ms. Sonal Gopal Khatri, vide letter dated October 4, 2010 informed SEBI that her father, Mr. Gopal C. Khatri had expired on September 3, 2010. She had also enclosed the certified copy of the death certificate issued by the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai. In view of the above, she requested SEBI to withdraw the direction issued against her father in the matter. In view of the death of Mr. Gopal C. Khatri, the proceeding initiated against him in the matter has to terminate.
