The Company was taken up for examination based on Internal alerts generated at SEBI primarily because the share price of movement of PIFL did not appear consistent with the reported financials. Between December 02, 2024, and January 16, 2025, the share price of PIFL moved from ₹21.02 to ₹78.2 —an increase of 372% in just over a month. Notably, the Company, which is under Additional Surveillance Measure (ASM) Stage 4, was also hitting the 5% upper circuit every day since December 09, 2024 (the daily circuit limit under ASM Stage 4 is 5%).
