Page 2 of 6 4. Magnum Equity Services Limited, a member of the National Stock Exchange of India Ltd. (hereinafter refereed to as “Noticee”), was prima facie identified as one of the financiers of the master account holders and an ultimate beneficiary of the shares cornered by the key operators in the IPO of “Shoppers’ Stop Limited” during the aforesaid period.
Page 3 of 6 relevant documents in support of its reply vide letter dated August 30, 2006. Based on the said reply another opportunity of hearing was granted to the Noticee on September 19, 2006. As per its request made vide letter dated September 13, 2006 the date of hearing was rescheduled to February 05, 2007, which was communicated to the Noticee vide letter dated January 19, 2007. Relevant extracts of the report of the investigation conducted by SEBI which contained the violations alleged to have been committed by the Noticee, was also forwarded vide the aforesaid letter.
