SEBI has initiated adjudication proceedings under the SEBI Act against Mr. Ajit Suryavanshi (hereinafter referred to as the ‘Noticee’) on account of allegedly violating the provisions of Regulations 4(1), 4(2)(a), 4(2)(b), 4(2)(e) and 4(2)(g) of SEBI (Prohibition of Fraudulent and Unfair Trade Practices) Regulations, 2003 (hereinafter referred to as ‘PFUTP Regulations’).

Page 3 of 7 of KCL by facilitating the execution of transactions that are not genuine resulting in creation of misleading appearance of trading and manipulation in the price of the scrip of KCL thereby contravening the provisions of regulations 4(1), 4(2)(a), 4(2)(b), 4(2)(e) and 4(2)(g) of PFUTP Regulations.

Considering the facts of the case, it was decided to conduct an inquiry in the matter and the Noticee was granted an opportunity of personal hearing and accordingly was advised to attend the hearing on January 14, 2009. The said notice of personal hearing was sent at the same address where show cause notice was duly received by the Noticee.
