Adjudication Order In Respect of Mr. Brij Khanna Page 2 of 8 4/28/2009 of the scrip. The price of the scrip moved up mainly due to the apparently false results published in the newspapers and the bogus dividend payout announced by the company. The price rise was also fueled due to fact that such announcements were made at times when there was a general euphoria in the stock markets with regard to software companies.
Adjudication Order In Respect of Mr. Brij Khanna Page 3 of 8 4/28/2009 8. It was also noted that the noticee and his entities, Kingfisher Overseas Pvt. Ltd. and Ranger Investment & Leasing Ltd. had defaulted on their payment obligations to the broker and have allegedly settled the same through the shares of BITL, which were kept with the broker before starting trading. These shares could not have been purchased from the market as in the period prior to April 1998 the shares of BITL were hardly ever traded. Therefore, it could be reasonably inferred that the shares came from the management of the company. They were summoned to appear in person and/or provide information as regard their acquisition of the shares of BITL.
