Based on the findings of said investigation, Adjudication Proceedings were initiated against certain entities. Vide Show Cause Notice dated January 20, 2017 (hereinafter referred to as “SCN”) and Supplementary Show Cause Notice dated May 07, 2021 (hereinafter referred to as “Supplementary SCN”), it was alleged, inter alia, that Bharat Babubhai Trivedi (hereinafter referred to as “Noticee”) violated the provisions of Regulations 3(a), (b), (c), (d), 4(1) ,4(2)(a), (d), and (e) of SEBI (Prohibition of Fraudulent and Unfair Trade Practices relating to Securities Market) Regulations, 2003 (hereinafter referred to as “PFUTP Regulations”) r/w Section 12A (a), (b) and (c) of the SEBI Act, 1992 (hereinafter referred to as “SEBI Act”). Vide Adjudication Order ref no Order/PM/GD/2022-23/16782-16811 dated May 31, 2022, penalty of Rs 5,00,000/- was imposed, interalia, on the Noticee under Section 15HA of the SEBI Act.
