A Show Cause Notice EAO/ACR/43259/2005 dated June 21, 2005 (hereinafter referred to as the ‘SCN’) was sent to the noticee at his address at Ojas Technochem Products Limited, Survey No.354, Vill Poicha, Tal Savli, Vadodara – 391780 through Registered Post Acknowledgment Due (RPAD) in terms of the provision of Rule 4(1) of the Adjudication Rules, seeking reply of the noticee as to why an inquiry should not be held against him in respect of the violation alleged to have been committed by the noticee.

However, it was stated in the SCN that it had been observed that all the information / documents sought by the IA pertained to the noticee’s personal investments, bank accounts etc., and did not pertain to OTPL. Hence, it was stated that the noticee’s contention that all the documents etc., were in the custody of the Official Liquidator was not tenable.
