Page 2 of 8 2. Investigation revealed that CAL was extremely illiquid scrip and only 6,100 shares of the Company were traded during the period of examination. From the year 2000 onwards until May 07, 2010, the scrip was traded only on a single day i.e. on June 30, 2010. 4000 shares out of 6100 shares were traded on a single day i.e. November 12, 2010 during the period under examination. During the period under examination the scrip was traded on 29 trading days wherein on 24 trading days, only single trades were executed and on 15 days the scrip hit its upper circuit rates / near upper circuit rates and on 10 trading days it hit lower circuit / near lower circuit rates. There were only 10 participants in the market.
