The top 10 brokers on BSE together bought 6,54,008 shares (65.52%) of the market volume, out of which PAS Securities bought 1,48,875 shares (17.75%), Systematix Shares & Stocks Ltd. bought 73,763 shares (9.01%) and Bharti Thakkar India Securities (P) Ltd. bought 42725 shares (6.12%). The top 10 brokers on BSE together sold 6,75,343 shares (64.12%) of the market volume, out of which JCL Securities sold 1,21,000 shares (17.03%), PAS Securities sold 69,742 shares (7.46%), and Systematix Shares and Stocks Ltd. sold 74752 shares (7.37%). Similarly, the top 10 clients together bought 5,39,963 shares (48.7%) of the market volume, out of which Manju Kedia bought 1,00,948 shares (9.10%), SPJ Stock Brokers Pvt. Ltd. bought 80,257 shares (7.24%) and Amit Pandya bought 69,722 shares (6.29%). Since the noticee had traded in the shares of TWPL at BSE only, my observations are confined to trading activities at BSE.

It was alleged that the noticee had violated Regulation 4 (1), 4(2)(a), (b) (e) & (g) of the SEBI(Prohibition of fraudulent and Unfair Trade Practices) Regulations, 2003 (herein after referred to as the “PFUTP Regulations”) and Regulation 7 read with Clause A(1) to (5) of Code of Conduct specified under Schedule II of SEBI (Stock Brokers and Sub Brokers) Regulations, 1992 (hereinafter referred to as “Stock Brokers Regulations”). In view of the above, adjudication proceedings were initiated.
Page 4 of 9 7. The noticee subsequently filed consent application to settle the aforesaid proceedings vide application dated February 18, 2010. Vide letter dated December 21, 2010 it was informed that the consent application filed by the noticee is rejected and therefore, the adjudication proceedings would commence against him which were kept in abeyance.
