4 8. The noticee replied to the SCN vide his letter dated June 17, 2006. Considering the reply given by the noticee, it was decided to conduct an inquiry in the matter and the noticee was advised to attend the hearing scheduled on December 18, 2006. Further, as regard the details of the transactions / specific instances relating to the violations alleged to have been committed by him, the relevant extracts of the report of the investigation conducted by SEBI detailing the violations alleged to have been committed by the noticee was forwarded to him. On December 18, 2006, the noticee, through Shri Rajiv Desai attended the hearing and made submissions.
