On analysis of the trading data obtained from CSE it was observed that during the investigation period (1.01.2000 to 31.05.2000) the first trade in the scrip took place on 25.2.2000 at a price of Rs.10/- with a volume of 100 shares. There was no trading in the scrip during the last six months immediately preceding 25.2.2000. On 7.04.2000 and 10.04.2000, the trading volumes were unusually high at 10,900 and 9,200 shares respectively. The total volume at CSE during the above period was 36,800 shares. The price of the scrip went up to a high of Rs.143.50 on 10.4.2000 and closed at Rs.91.70 on 29.5.2000.

The Noticee vide letter dated April 9, 2008 replied to the SCN stating, inter alia, the following, I would like to submit in this connection that I had replied every notice which was received by me though I had resigned from directorship of the Company with effect from 05/12/2000. You have alleged that the information/documents required by the then adjudicating officer which were replied by me, is not satisfactory. I had tried my level best to answer all the queries. If any queries might have been left reply of which I am not aware of the same may be referred to the Company to submit the information as may be required for investigation proceedings.
