Page 4 of 12 Over and above that the client MSIL has also been dealing in other securities on NSE, BSE and F&O Segments. As a result there was every reason for us to believe that the client was carrying out the trades in a routine course of business. The fact that the trades have matched against some specific trading members is true but that does not mean that the trades were carried out in a synchronized manner. We would like to further put forth that in many cases the order quantity of the Buyer and the Seller are not the same, which is an even bigger substantiation that the trades were not executed in a synchronized manner. The fact that there was a concentration in the counterparty broker to the transactions may also be a coincidence as the stock not being so widely held might be in the hands of few people who traded through those brokers. In the current screen based trading the identity of the counterparty is not at all revealed to the person executing the transactions.
