Changes to the Framework to Enable Verification of Upfront Collection of Margins from Clients in Cash and Derivatives segments
Summary
This circular modifies the framework for verifying upfront margin collection by requiring End of Day (EOD) margins in derivatives segments to be calculated using fixed Beginning of Day (BOD) parameters. The change applies specifically to the verification process, while actual margin obligations collected by Clearing Corporations remain subject to intra-day and EOD updates. Stock Exchanges and Clearing Corporations are directed to implement necessary system changes and report their status within three months.
