Submission of Monthly Reports by Custodians of Securities

This circular modifies the deadline for custodians of securities to submit monthly reports. SEBI vide circular no. IMD/FII&C/30/2008 dated July 21, 2008 advised the custodians to submit the monthly reports by the 7th of the succeeding month.
In partial modification of Para 2 of the circular IMD/FII&C/30/2008 dated July 21, 2008, it has been decided that the custodians shall submit the monthly reports latest by either the end of the third working day of the succeeding month or the 5th of the succeeding month, whichever is later.
This circular shall come into effect immediately. This circular is issued in exercise of powers conferred under Section 11 (1) of the Securities and Exchange Board of India Act, 1992.
