Alignment of Trading Lot and Delivery Lot size
Summary
SEBI mandates that recognized stock exchanges and clearing corporations must align trading lot sizes with delivery lot sizes for commodity derivatives contracts. Exchanges are required to submit proposals for alignment or exemption for existing non-compliant contracts within one month of the circular's issuance. The directive aims to prevent barriers to physical delivery and ensure participants are not placed in disadvantageous positions.
